Objectives: extracurricular activities should:
  • provide children alternatives for spending a part of their free time in a pleasant, useful and educational way,
  • ensure "expression space" for the natural behaviour of children and practical application of "the baggage" that curriculum offers by the disciplines of education,
  • facilitate direct contact of children with the concrete reality in order to practise their civic behaviour in different environments others than the school, as future responsible citizens,
  • develop better relationships between pupils and teachers,
  • illustrate various ways of organizing activities based on the same subject, depending on the particularities of the participants and existing local conditions.
